Last night we had the pleasure of celebrating friend & editor, Beth Bernstein and her new memoir “My Charmed Life.” Beth read aloud an excerpt of her book about self-purchasing, and how apropos that we were at the Fragments store where we love a good self-purchase! We raffled off a beautiful diamond slice pendant by Vibe’s, enjoyed champagne and delicious French macaroons, and mingled with Beth, our friends and designers.
The night was wonderful and to Beth, we congratulate you on your success! The book is fabulous and we‘re so happy to celebrate you.
Check out some photos from our event below and a very special video by Beth all about her memoir…
With the weather heating up, we are loving the pastel jewelry trend to keep cool. These pieces are the perfect way to transition from summer days to nights – on the beach, to the office, to a girls night out and everything in between – pastels are a fresh “go to” palette. Layer a variety of subtle colors for a feminine look, or mix soft-hued stones with heavier metals for an edgier feel. So instead of changing your entire wardrobe this season to pale pinks and mint greens, ease into the trend with a pair of lavender earrings!
Check out some of our picks for summer pastels below from designers including Stella Flame, Nava Zahavi, Lena Skadegard, Miguel Ases, Coralia Leets and more!

See you soon,
This past Sunday evening (Earth Day,) we had the pleasure of viewing a very special film at the UN called “One Day on Earth.” The Fragments team ventured over to the United Nations and gathered with people from all over the world in the General Assembly to watch the film. What an amazing place to see and be seated in! The 2 hour documentary was filmed in every country of the world, all in one day on October 10th, 2010. There are no words to accurately describe the film and the many messages that come across while you’re watching it. The movie covers everything from love and marriage, to war and illness… to animals, food and all of the wonderful people that occupy each of these countries. I found on their website a list of the film’s “Founding Principles” and I thought I would share them with you to give you a glimpse. I highly encourage you to visit the site to learn more about it and see the film as soon as you can!!
The Founding Principles
Perspective: We are creating a time capsule for the whole world to better understand itself.
We strive to find out who we are as human beings because it is beneficial to our sustainability as a species.
Inclusivity: The project is free and open to all people, cultures, creeds, and nationalities.
Individuality: We are here to empower your voice. The individual, you, are being given a chance to put something in the world’s time capsule. You have one day to document what matters most to you.
This is a celebration of individual beliefs, expression and perspective.
Community : We strive to connect people through both their differences and similarities. We strive to create and support future collaborations amongst participants. We strive to create a community that fosters communication.
Education: The process of creating, interacting and viewing our project will have educational value for students of all ages. We will strive to support any educational institution that wishes to participate in the project with the necessary tools to do so.
Technology: We will always embrace any technology that better allows us to live up to our principles. We realize this project is only now possible because of the evolution of technology and we will always grow with technology to make an even better picture of the world.
