Last night was the Van Cleef & Arpel dinner and it was spectacular! The jewelry collection was inspired by the masquerade balls through the centuries, the food by Daniel Boulud – shrimp appetizer, duck entree and baked apple dessert (nothing fattening!) The event was put together by none other than Barton G at a hangar at Opa-Locka executive airport. What a crowd and what jewels!!! A feast for the eyes. The airport hangar was 20,000 square feet decorated like a forest filled with giant trees, highlighted with vignettes of jewels in the jungle. Glamorous beyond words! What a glorious and magical night. I’ll be back soon with more from our Basel adventure, in the meantime here are some pictures from last night’s dinner….
