Spring 2012 Trend Report

Tuesday was the last day of the Spring 2012 Accessory Circuit and we are thrilled to share that it was a great success! Fragments showcased 18 of our talented artists including  Accessories & Beyond, Aid Through Trade, Anton Heunis, Coralia Leets, Dana Kellin, Emma Chapman, Gemma Redux, Lena Skadegard, LK Designs, Mary Louise Designs, Miguel Ases, Millianna, Mizuki, Nola Singer, Nugaard, Shaesby, KALAN by Suzanne Kalan and Tarina Tarantino.

We’re excited to offer you an exclusive first look into Spring 2012’s hottest trends including softer than ever pastels, pops of pyrite, more tassels, small hints of neon and of course neutrals that never get old.

Spring is just moments away so naturally color is huge and this time around it’s all about soft, sweet, feminine hues of pinks, purples, blues, greens and yellows. These gorgeous pastels that will lighten your whole look were found in major Miguel Ases earrings, layering necklaces and drop earrings at Mary Louise Designs, show stopping crystal cuffs at Millianna and personal pendants at KALAN by Suzanne Kalan.

We also saw lots of beautiful neutrals at the show. Gorgeous blacks, ivories and whites offset by gold or silver – timeless and always chic, these are the pieces that will transcend the test of time. We loved the gorgeous oxidized metals with white crystals in Dana Kellin which gave an edgier touch to the otherwise classic pieces. Miguel Ases’ silvery/gold collections were also a big hit; they have just the right amount of sparkle without going over the top. In her new collection, KALAN by Suzanne Kalan is all about subtle neutrals with lots of glimmering black, champagne and white diamonds. Understated perfection. These are wardrobe staples and the kind of jewelry that never gets old.

Tassels are yet another recurring trend, we don’t think they will ever get old. Perhaps they’re a new classic? They move, they’re feminine and scream FUN! We saw tassels in the form of necklaces & earrings at Mary Louise Designs, Millianna, Miguel Ases, Anton Heunis and more! These dangly treasures will take you from denim to dress up glamour instantly.

We also noticed that neon hasn’t exactly bid adieu quite yet. We saw some fabulous pops of brightness in Miguel Ases and LK…and we loved it all! Neon is a great way to introduce your playful side – it’s fun, fresh and a lovely way to play with color.

Doesn’t this round up get you excited for Spring? It has us completely inspired and we can hardly wait…

See you soon!

Love,
Janet
